Responding to the cutbacks in funding for educational programs, this booklet provides inmates with the resources to organize their own writing workshops in correctional institutions. Convinced of the efficacy of such programs, which have reduced recidivism rates in every State where they have been implemented, the Puffin Foundation provided support for this on-going project.
